Rosemère, January 26, 2012–The Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board (SWLSB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Robert Vallerand as Director General. The Council of Commissioners is confident in his leadership skills.

From 1998 to his retirement in 2006, Mr. Vallerand served as both SWLSB's Assistant Director General and Secretary General.  The Council of Commissioners strongly feels that he is the right person to maintain the SWLSB spirit.

The Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board offers educational services to more than 15,000 students in 38 schools and 4 Adult Education and Vocational Training centres and has a workforce of nearly 2,000 employees.

We are proud to support the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada by donating half the proceeds of our Fashion Show to this very worthy and special cause. On May 4 and May 5, 2012 Lake of Two Mountains High School students and staff, located in the city of Deux-Montagnes, will be presenting their annual Fashion Show. This performance provides our students the opportunity to work as a team and is a wonderful fundraiser. Proceeds will be donated to The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. Our Fashion Show could not be possible without the participation of our sponsors. In order to make this event a success, we would greatly appreciate your support. You can purchase advertisement that will be placed in our program. Registration week for the 2012-2013 school year will begin February 6, 2012. Parents of students already enrolled at Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board will receive a registration form at the end of January 2012.

For parents who wish to register new students, please call your school and make an appointment for registration as of February 7, 2012.
